Founded on March 2, 1959, the Waratahs Rugby Club has grown into a cornerstone of the Wagga sporting community. We pride ourselves on being a family-oriented club that combines competitive excellence with strong social values.
Our membership is built on three core principles: a rich tradition and deep sense of camaraderie, commitment to competitive rugby excellence, and creating lifelong friendships and memorable social experiences.

Club Championships: 19 Titles
1st XV Premierships: 22 Titles (highest in the Southern Inland Rugby Union Competition)
1st XV Runners-up: 13 Times
2nd XV Premierships: 11 Titles
3rd XV Premierships: 6 Titles
Women’s Premierships: 1 Title (Combined with Wagga City)
Junior Premierships: 3 Titles (U16, U17 and U18s)
The Waratahs Rugby Club holds the distinguished record for the highest number of first grade premierships in the Southern Inland Rugby Union Competition, a testament to our enduring commitment to excellence and player development.
