About

Welcome! The Waratahs Rugby Club is a family-oriented Club, formed on 2 March 1959. Its membership is characterised by a strong sense of tradition and camaraderie, a desire to play competitive rugby and a desire to provide members with the opportunity to forge life-long friendships and enjoy a great social life. The Club has a strong Old Boy’s Association.

The Club fields teams in Womens, 2nd Grade and 1st Grade teams and a Netball team. Several players have represented the Southern Inland Rugby Zone and beyond.


Success

The Club is very proud of its successes over the years, with several premierships and the highest number of first grade premierships in the Southern Inland Rugby Union Competition.

Since 1959:

  • Club Championships – 19

  • 1st XV Premierships – 22

  • 1st XV Runners-up – 13

  • 2nd XV Premierships – 11

  • 3rd XV Premierships – 6

  • Women’s – 1 (Combined Waratahs & Wagga City team)

  • Juniors (U16, U17 and/or U18s) – 3
